Workout safely with our new COVID policy

Access via the fitsense app

All members must download the Fitsense App. This allows you to book in for sessions, whether that is Gym or Swim sessions. It also allows us to be able to track and trace all members as outlined by the Government. You can download the Fitsense App from the App Store or the Google Play Store

Once you have downloaded the app, for those of you that joined us for our Outdoor Group Training, and created an account to log in on our website can use the same details to log in to the app. Those of you who didn’t take part in this, please follow the following steps to create your account within the app:

We will be using this booking system to allow us to control how many people are coming in at one time and to keep everyone as safe as possible.

If you have any issues with logging in, please contact us at info@bourtonmill.com or please view the installation video below.

ACCESS TO THE GYM

All sessions are live and available to book through the FitSense App. Please make sure you have your accounts set up and ready to use before this.

Sessions will be 45 minutes for the Gym or Pool. Members are able to book 2 gym sessions per day; this includes back to back gym sessions. Members are also able to book a swim session straight after a gym session.

Changing room showers are open for members booked in for a swim. The poolside shower will also be in use. We will also be reopening the Sauna. It will be strictly 1 person at a time in the Sauna, and all members must use the provided towel for sitting/laying on whilst in the Sauna. The Steam Room will remain closed. Changing rooms will be off-limits for people booked in for the gym.

If you do book back to back sessions, you will be asked to wait outside whilst the staff carry out their rigorous cleaning of the facilities before the next session begins.

We will be offering sessions from Monday – Friday 6.30 am – 8.30 pm & Saturday – Sunday 9 am – 2 pm. This will be for the Gym & Pool.

We will allow for a maximum of 10 people per session for the Gym and four people per session for the Pool. Unfortunately, we cannot allow more than 2 Males & 2 Females to book in for any Pool session, so please keep an eye on who is booked in for each session. We have taken this decision to reduce the number of people in the changing rooms at any one time. If we see more than this booked in, we will have to cancel the last booked members.

Once we have more information from UKActive and the Government, we will be sure to update you on the areas that are currently closed.

Cancellation Policy – Members can cancel up to 12 hours before a session via the app. However, if you need to cancel closer to the time, please contact us by telephone on 01280823423, and we can cancel that for you. We ask members to cancel sessions they cannot attend as soon as possible so that members on the waiting list are informed that they can attend the session. If members fail to turn up for three sessions that they have booked, they will then be locked out of the booking system, and be unable to book again through the app. If this does happen, again, please call us on 01280823423.

We will be offering sessions from Monday – Friday 6.30 am – 8.30 pm & Saturday – Sunday 9 am – 2 pm. This will be for the Gym & Pool.

PREPARING TO COME INTO BOURTON MILL

Before coming in to use the Gym, members must come changed and ready to use the facilities.

All swimmers must bring their own towels & come as prepared as they can. Changing rooms will be open for you to use, and lockers will be marked that members can use; however, we request that you spend as little time in these areas as possible. We understand this is frustrating, but we must follow all the guidelines that have been set out for us to follow.

All members must inform us before coming in if they have had COVID-19 or have any symptoms. It is probably a given, but please do not go into the Gym if you are feeling unwell at all.

We would also request that members arrive 5 minutes before their session is due to start, this is important as we will have to check you in and we want to make sure you get your full time in the facilities.

When members arrive, you will see markings on the floor where you will be asked to wait until being asked to come into the Gym. One at a time, members will be asked to approach the entrance door and have their temperature taken using a contactless thermometer. Provided this is all ok, the member will then be advised to enter the Reception area, use the provided hand sanitiser, scan there fob at the reception desk and then head on in to either the Gym or the Pool.

Also, we would ask, if any members require a matt to workout on, please ask for one at reception, and return this at the end of your session. Please do not share this matt as it is one per person.

When members are in the Gym, we, please ask you to observe all signs that are on the equipment and any that may be on the floor. While using any equipment, all members must adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Automatic dispensing hand sanitisers will be located throughout the gym; these will be identified with signs. All members are advised to use these stations before and after using any equipment.

It is vitally important that all members clean equipment paying extra attention to any touchpoints before and after use thoroughly using the provided antibacterial spray and cloth/blue roll. This will be either on or around all pieces of equipment.

Members coming in to use the Gym must not bring any towels or sweat towels into any Gym areas. We also request that members bring in their full water bottle as the water fountain will be out of use at this time. You will still be able to buy water bottles from us at reception.

Staff will be wearing masks in certain situations. Our advice to members is that it is not compulsory for members to be wearing a mask, however, if you do feel more comfortable wearing one, that is fine.

We understand that Bourton Mill is seen as a place for social meeting and catching up with friends. Still, as I am sure you can understand, during these unprecedented times, we kindly request that if you want to socialise and catch up with friends that this takes place outside the building while still maintaining social distancing rules. All seating in the reception area will be out of use, and newspapers will no longer be available. The coffee machine will remain out of use also.

Now we have laid out our procedures for all our members; we would also like to take this opportunity to reassure all members that we will be upkeeping the highest cleanliness standards as we always have done in the past. We will be taking 15 minutes between each session to make sure all surfaces are cleaned and wiped down, and taking 1 hour during the day, before we open and after we close to give everything a deep clean every day.

If any members have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@bourtonmill.com.

We look forward to seeing you all very soon.
